According to the American Tinnitus Association, over 45 million Americans struggle with tinnitus, making it one of the most common health conditions in the United States. However, because there is no scientifically proven cure for chronic tinnitus, many audiologists shy away from treating these patients.  


In this episode, Gail M. Whitelaw PhD, audiologist and Director of the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic at Ohio State University, talks about tinnitus: patients, diagnosis and collaborative treatment. She also makes the case for welcoming tinnitus patients and recommend resources.
